After a sample is created and tests are assigned, its test lines appear in the Results section. Open Results from the bottom navigation bar to view and enter results for all samples.

Enter or edit a result

1. Locate the row for the sample and test.
2. Click Edit Result in the row actions (pencil icon) to enable editing.
3. Set Spec (specification type) from the dropdown when needed.
4. Enter Spec Value and any Range / Range Value columns required by that spec.
5. Enter the Result value (detection result).
6. Click Save Result (or press Enter in a field) so Lab Axiom records the result and updates Status.

Other columns such as Min RL (minimum reporting limit), Max RL (maximum reporting limit), Completed, Price, Billed, and Paid may appear depending on your screen width and configuration.

Overriding Unit of Measurement on a result

Lab Axiom normally sets Unit of Measurement on the Test, and every sample that uses that Test reports results in that unit. When one sample needs a different unit — for example, reporting the same test in mg/serving for one customer and ppm for another — you can override the unit on that individual result row without changing the Test's configured unit or affecting any other sample using it.

The Unit column is hidden by default. To show it:

1. Open Results from the bottom navigation bar.
2. Open the grid's column-visibility control in the toolbar.
3. Enable Unit.

Once the column is visible, edit Unit the same way you edit other result fields: click Edit Result, update the Unit value, then click Save Result. See Enter or edit a result above for the full Edit Result / Save Result steps. Saving a per-row unit override changes only that result — it does not update the Test's configured unit, and no other sample using that Test is affected.

Unit is editable only when all of the following are true:

• The result is not a group result (not a child row within a test group).
• The test's reporting type is quantitative, not qualitative.
• You have update access to the result.

Group results and qualitative results have no unit field at all, so Unit is not available to edit in those cases regardless of access.

Mark results as billed or paid

Track billing on individual result rows with the Billed and Paid columns when they are visible in your grid. You can also update many rows at once from the list header menu.

1. Open Results from the bottom navigation bar.
2. Optional: Use the toolbar quick filter or column filters to narrow the grid—the bulk actions apply to visible result rows in the current view.
3. Click the ⋮ menu on the Results list header.
4. Choose Mark Results as Billed or Mark Results as Paid (shown when your role allows updating results).
5. Confirm in the dialog. Lab Axiom marks each eligible visible row that is not already billed or paid.

Rows that belong to a grouped test (child rows within a test group) are skipped by the bulk actions. To change billing flags on a single row, use Edit Result and toggle Billed or Paid when those columns are shown, then Save Result.

Import results from Google Sheets

Use the ⋮ menu on the Results list header to bulk-import result values from a spreadsheet.

1. Open Results from the bottom navigation bar.
2. Click the ⋮ menu on the list header.
3. Choose Import Results from Google Sheets.
4. Sign in with Google when prompted and allow Lab Axiom access to your Google account.
5. Select the spreadsheet and sheet tab that contains your data.
6. Confirm the import. The sheet must include ID, Tenant ID Shard, and Result columns (exact header names). If a Unit column is present, its value must match the existing unit in Lab Axiom for each row; otherwise the row is skipped with an error.

Apply a default detection result

When a test defines a default detection result and the result row is still Pending, a Default Result action (wand icon) appears in the row actions.

1. Open Results and locate the pending row.
2. Click Default Result in the row actions.
3. Lab Axiom applies the test's default detection value and updates Status.

You can still edit the row manually afterward if needed.
