Certificates of analysis (COAs) in Lab Axiom are not frozen after the first certification. You can correct underlying data and re-certify to issue an updated COA for customers.

What you can change before re-certifying

• Results — Update test lines on the Results page (for example Result, Spec, notes, or billing fields) when your role includes result.update.
• Sample and customer data — Edit the sample or related customer records if corrections are needed on the certificate content.

Re-certify to publish changes

1. Open the sample in view mode and choose Certify Sample, or go to /sample/certify/{id}.
2. Review the certification checklist and PDF preview.
3. If a COA was already released, Lab Axiom may require a reason for amendment before you can certify again.
4. Select customer notification options (billing customer, COA customers, or all customers) as appropriate.
5. Confirm certification to issue the updated COA.

Each successful certification creates a new COA revision when amendment rules apply. Customers receive notifications according to the statuses you choose and their email configuration.
