When test results are complete, you can certify a sample to create or update a certificate of analysis (COA) for your customer. You need the certificate.create permission (typically granted through a role).

Open certify mode

1. Go to Samples and open the sample (view mode).
2. Click Certify Sample (certificate icon in the sample actions).
3. Lab Axiom opens the certify view for that sample, focused on COA management.

You can also navigate directly to the certify URL for a sample (/sample/certify/{id}).

Issue or manage the COA

Ensure results are entered and reviewed first—see Entering Test Results in Lab Axiom.

1. On the certify page, expand each Preview for … accordion to review the certificate PDF for the billing customer and any Certificate of Analysis Customers.
2. Optionally check Notify Billing Customer, Notify Certificate of Analysis Customers, and/or Notify All Customers (wording depends on which customers are on the sample) to email recipients when you save.
3. Check the certification statement checkbox (your name and tenant appear in the statement).
4. Click Save to certify the sample and issue the COA.
