Certificates of analysis (COAs) are formal reports that summarize test results for a sample. In Lab Axiom you certify a sample to generate or update a COA, then distribute it to customers.

Certification workflow

Laboratory staff with certificate.create open Certify Sample from the sample view, review results, and certify when analysis is complete. See Certifying a sample and issuing a COA in Lab Axiom.

COAs can include sample details, test results, specifications, and lab branding. After release, you can correct data and re-certify—see Editability of COA in Lab Axiom.

Customer notifications

When you certify, you can notify the billing customer, designated COA customers, or other customers. Lab Axiom tracks notification status per certificate, including:

• Pending
• Sent
• Failed
• Unpaid (when payment is required before delivery)
• SkippedNoEmail (no email address available)

Portal delivery

Customers with portal access can view shared COAs on Home under Certificates. See Accessing your certificates (customer portal).
